Lucas and anybody else interested ...
I came across this website: www.e2046.com
click on "figures" then scroll down to Ghost in the Shell in the "Series" dropdown menu and click the magnifying glass ... They have about 8 different Motoko kits at what seems like reasonable prices ... They are in Hong Kong ...

Ya, building and painting these kits do take quite a lot of experience and practice. Personally I have no experience too :P
Gregg, hmmm.. the only place I know to get Wonder Festival kits is probably Japanese auction sites such as Yahoo JP. Price would rarely be under 15000 Yen, and most of the time in excess of 20000 Yen. Leave me your email? I have a website you might be interested to check out ;)

It would be killer if the Alucard Motoko, the kneeling Motoko, and the diorama with Motoko, the barrel and the Tachi saw a proper commercial release at some point. I wouldn't mind having that 'Wishbone' SD figure either. Especially considering that even if I got my hands on any of these kits, I'm not talented enough to paint them up like the examples above :P

Ya, getting a garage kit is just the 1st step. You have to be really talented to put them together and colour them up nicely.

Gregg, they are not "figures" in the sense we know, but actually garage kits- fan made resin models that need to be put together and painted. Usually companies (eg Kodansha, Gainax etc) allow fans to sell their kits at specialty events, but the condition is that they can only be sold exclusively during the event and not commercially. Some of the really popular kits might get a release from some official toy manufacturer such as Kaiyodo, Bandai.. and then the chances of us outside Japan getting them is greatly improved. Otherwise its down to getting lucky at the rare kit that shows up at auction sites.
