Remember my post back in December 2006 regarding a prototype 2nd Gig Motoko Shrug in the works by Abbyshot? Well, it has become reality today with the release of this very fine looking piece of clothing. A dream come true for any Motoko cosplay aficionado, and the best part is I think this shrug looks really good too as casual street wear. Definitely fashionable and would do Major Kusanagi very proud!

By the way, Mark from Abbyshot told me that they will be setting up a booth at the coming Tokyo Anime Fair scheduled for March 22nd to 25th to promote this Motoko Shrug and their entire range of garments. I'm sure the Shrug will be a hot item at the show :)

Girls out there who are fans of GITS SAC, or those who wish to have their girl partners wear Motoko's clothes and have some money to spare, this is a good buy- there are not many pieces of garments out there that you could wear and have people in the know (Otakus, that is) going, "ah! Major Kusanagi..." and at the same time not look weird in a normal public place (say, like a shopping mall). Wish I could get one for my wife but damn those endless stream of Tachikoma products coming out this year! ;)
