Appleseed was the first Shirow work I ever saw and I've been a diehard fan since then. Now I'm selling comic books at Forbidden Planet in New York and pushing Shirow's stuff to anyone who hasn't had the pleasure. Other stuff I stand by are: Gunsmith Cats (Sonoda Kenichi), Usagi Yojimbo (Stan Sakai), Sin City (Frank Miller), Kabuki (David Mack), and William Gibson's novels.

Ghost In The Shell

Ghost in the shell was one of the first playstation games i fell in love with soon after i bought it. i bought the anime, and im currently looking for the manga. The thing about ghost in the shell (anime) that attracted me is the mecha, the vibes, the motion, the intensity in action scenes and so forth.. plus motoko Kusanagi.... damnit she looked HOT in the opening of the psx game.. and the thing is that, she wasnt just a generic beach girl i would see in other anime. she had a sex appeal with kick-ass mecha... and that is SOMETHING i find rare.... ** drools compulsively**
