The Shin Taimasenki series is a RPG game consisting of several titles all sharing the same theme- special forces / investigations teams against demons / ghosts. In this novel, a special police team called S.M.A.P. (their members are simply called 'Taimakan' (err... evil spirit officers?)) were set up to deal with crimes involving supernatural forces of evil. A newbie on the S.M.A.P. team, Akagami Kyouya met his lady childhood friend, pretty Izumi by chance while investigating a ghost-crime. Together, they were manipulated into a trap set by the evil demons. Izumi was captured and it is up to Kyouya to save her. Can he do it? A RPG Play-novel. 268 pages, published by Cosmo Engineering in 1998, and price is 700 Yen.
