Yarudora series: Sampaguita- for the Playstation

Sampaguita is one of the games in the Yarudora Series. This is a series of 4 role-playing-games distinguished by 4 seasons. The series comprises of the games Double Cast (Summer), Sampaguita (Autumn), Yukiwari no Hana (Spring) and Fairy In The Season (winter). Each story has a common theme "amnesia." In the games, the player tries to help the girl, with different endings indicating how well the decisions were made. Masamune Shirow's designs were used for the Sampaguita game. In this game, the amnesiac heroine is from the Phillipines- named Maria Santos. Finding her soaked in the rain the player brings her home only to discover that she has a gun in her possesion. Also, the cops, Yakuza, and Asian Mafia are pursuing her, and the criminals are prepared to take her life. Ultimately she regains her memory but there are different endings (28 endings specifically) good, normal and bad depending on the decisions made by the player during the course of the game. Official Story Sypnosis: One rainy autumn afternoon, I was hurrying towards home. I had just missed the last train after drinking at a party. After lending one of my friends money for his hotel, I couldn't even catch a cab. My clothes were drenched in water. Suddenly, I heard a noise from behind a bar. I peaked in and found a girl kneeling down. She turned around as I spoke to her. I knew right away that she was from Southeast Asian because of her dark skin. I also noticed a little cut on her forehead which was bleeding. Carrying her on my back, I hurried back to my apartment. She called herself Maria. She looked Filipino. She said that she had no idea why she was behind the bar. In order to find out her identity, I searched inside her bag. There was a photo, cassette tape, some cosmetics, cash and ... a gun. Both Maria and I were shocked to find a gun in her purse. In order to calm her down, I put her to bed. The following morning, I left for work, assuming that Maria would be gone by the time I came home that afternoon. However, when I came home, the apartment was clean and Maria was still there. "I have no where else to go," said Maria. That's how my life with Maria started...
